St Malo

We travelled to the Campingcar aire de Service by the marina just outside the walls of the old town. We then walked around inside this medieval walled town.

We particularly liked this gargoyle with its topknot of weeds! And some nice Gothic touches to the architecture.

And also this sign for the road of the cat who dances.

The walled fortress accessed by a causeway looks pretty safe from hordes!

We didn’t fancy staying at the camperstop overnight as there were lots of lads on little bikes and scooters going about and probably would be until late at night, so we trundled off to find somewhere a bit quieter! Then on to Carnac where I knew there were lots of megalithic tombs and stone circles.
